Okay, so here’s the deal: Gru, who’s kind of a good-hearted baddie, goes to a reunion at his old villain school. There, he runs into Maxime Le Mal, an old enemy still mad about some prank from way back. Things heat up when Maxime vows revenge but then gets snagged by the Anti-Villain League (yeah, that’s a real group). They tell Gru to hide out with his family for safety.
So Gru takes his wife Lucy and their kids—Margo, Edith, Agnes—and their new baby, Gru Jr., and they head to this quaint town called Mayflower. Their Minion pals Phil, Ron, and Ralph come along too. They’re supposed to pretend to be someone else there. Spoiler: it’s harder than it sounds! Then you’ve got neighbors who are major snobs and their teen daughter Poppy who has her own tricky plans that might involve Gru.
Back at the Anti-Villain League office or whatever it’s called—there’s chatter about five Minions getting souped-up superhero versions while Maxime thinks using cockroaches is his ticket for payback against Gru.
And through all the craziness just keep in mind—it’s basically about Gru trying to be super dad for little baby Grouplcil tinged with typical villainy chaos curated by Renaud as another wacky escapade in Cattivissimo land! In “Despicable Me 4,” expect those hilarious Minions stealing the spotlight as usual—they’ve got plenty of wild antics waiting!
This movie is a real laugh riot! Lucy has some hilarious moments too.
The soundtrack’s a blast, mixing Pharrell Williams’ original songs with cool ’80s hits. They’ve even got a cover of “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” ’cause every villain dreams big, right?
The film zips along, reuniting fans with all their favorite characters. It might not blow your mind like the first one did, but it’s got loads of feel-good fun to keep everyone entertained.
If you’re watching it in Italian, Max Giusti gives Gru his recognizable voice. In English, it’s Steve Carell. Stefano Accorsi does this unique accent thing for Maxime though you might find it tricky! And for Lucy? Carolina Benvenga steps in instead of Arisa.
